Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of our online visitors and participants and comply with applicable laws for the protection of your privacy, including, without limitation, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Swiss and EU Privacy Shield Frameworks.
1. Definitions
Wherever we talk about Personal Data below, we mean any information that can either itself identify you as an individual ("Personally Identifying Information") or that can be connected to you indirectly by linking it to Personally Identifying Information.
2. Why we collect data
To replace the repetitive paper form-filling-out required at the event registration. The online data is only a replacement for that data. We do not collect anything other than what you enter online. You have the right to not use the online registration but this may delay your entry during registration.
3 Transaction and Payment Data
We record when and how you have paid for your event entry, but we do not keep any of the payment details. We do not have an online payment system so none of this data is required.
4 Other Data You Explicitly Submit
We may collect and process personal data which you explicitly provide to us or send as part of communications with the event organisers.
5 Tracking Data and Cookies
We do no use "Cookies", as we don’t believe these are necessary nor desired for this operation. Nor do we track your online activity other than record the IP address of your most recent log in should there be a reason to confirm where or when you made changes to your stored entry data.
6 Newsletter
We provide a newsletter to keep you informed of the event updates, when documents are ready for download and other items that may be of interest to you. This stores your email address, name and sometimes your boat name if provided. By entering the online registration you give permission for us to store your email address and send you the newsletter, which you are free to unsubscribe from at any time.
7. How Long We Store Data.
The core design of the registration is that we store your entry information from your past entries so that you can use this data to complete your current entry without filling in all the same information repeatedly. You are then free to update or delete as you wish.
8. Who Has Access to Data
We do not pass any of your data to third parties in any format. It is held only for use on ARBR events.

RORC - IRC data link:
Every 24 hours the ARBR system updates the IRC certificate data held within by means of a download link from the current RORC IRC certificate list. The enables the ARBR system to cross reference the certificate number you have entered with current and past (3 years) certificates to establish whether your entry has a valid certificate, which is required for entry into the IRC classes. No information from ARBR is fed back to RORC.
